SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass production technology. In particular, disclosed is a method of controlling an actuator, used in a process of hardening sheet glass, in which, after the sheet glass is fed into the heating furnace, monitoring module monitors in real time amount of energy consumed by heating elements of heating furnace, and transmits its value to control module for comparison with specified threshold value; if amount of energy consumed by heating elements of heating furnace is greater than or equal to specified threshold value, then control module sends command to actuator, which actuates actuator to perform corresponding process of hardening.
EFFECT: disclosed method enables more scientific and more accurate control of sheet glass heating process and as a result, accurately determine the moment of removal of sheet glass from the furnace, therefore, cases of insufficient heating or overheating of sheet glass are prevented and quality of the finished tempered glass is increased.
