SUBSTANCE: invention relates to locomotive wheel flange lubricator rod, consisting of thermoplastic polymer, molybdenum disulphide, ethylene vinyl acetate graphite and barium sulphate, characterized in that said comb of headlight brush is made in the form of molded composite blocks of arbitrary cross section, having blind cavities, filled with plastic lubricant, with following ratio of components, wt. %: plastic lubricant - 10.0–15.0, wheel flange lubricator - up to 100 %.

EFFECT: technical result of invention is providing lubricant application on wheel flanges of locomotives not equipped with wheel flange lubricator by transfer of lubricant from wheel flanges equipped with wheel flange lubricator, on flanges of wheels, which are not equipped with wheel flange lubricator, which will allow to reduce wear of flanges of wheels and increase resource of bandages of all wheel pairs of locomotive at installation of wheel flange lubricator on wheels in the first direction of movement of locomotive.
