FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a solid antifriction element for lubricating crests of locomotives wheel sets. Technical result is achieved due to a solid antifriction element, which consists of a thermoplastic polymer, molybdenum disulphide, graphite, characterized in that the solid antifriction element further comprises ethylene vinyl acetate and barium sulfate in following ratio of components, wt.%: molybdenum disulphide 5–10, graphite 10–20, ethylene vinyl acetate 5–10, barium sulfate 20–30, thermoplastic polymer up to 100 %.
EFFECT: optimal antifriction and resource characteristics of the lubricating layer in contact of the wheel ridge with the rail by changing the physical characteristics of the lubricating composition of the solid antifriction element by optimizing its composition.
