MASKING AND PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR MILITARY EQUIPMENT Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC F41H3/00 H01L37/00

Abstract RU 2734302 C1

FIELD: weapons.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons and military equipment and can be used to provide camouflage on ground and protection of armoured vehicles and stationary structures of military facilities from means of fixing thermal radiation and thermal homing systems of enemy. Masking and protective device for military equipment comprises a housing arranged above the thermal radiation object, a thermoelectric generator, which converts heat energy into electrical energy, having terminals for removing thermo-emf, coating reflecting and absorbing electromagnetic waves, camouflage pattern in accordance with four seasons in a given area. At the same time the housing, dimensions of which correspond to linear dimensions of the object, comprises transformable collapsible frame fixed on the vehicle body. On the frame there is a flexible complex coating having a layered structure. Its upper layer is made of masking material, laid on the lower layer and fixed with the help of fasteners. Bottom of interconnected by means of flexible loops of wire braided metal mesh strips attached to frame, camouflage material is made in form of n-layer tape, layers of which are separated from each other by dielectric spacers. Each layer is a film thermoelectric generator, which can operate in conditions of absence of temperature gradient. Belt is subjected to partial cutting with formation of tabs deflected from tape surface in both sides.

EFFECT: simplified design of protective shield, which converts heat energy released by heat source into electric, and possibility of its use on mobile ground objects of military equipment both at parking (in presence of thermal radiation), and in movement.
