FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of reducing visibility of weapons and military equipment and can be used to mask and conceal moving or located in points of permanent deployment and reserve areas of dispersal of ground weapons and military equipment from thermal imaging optoelectronic means of aerospace exploration, as well as failure of guidance of high-precision weapons with infrared homing heads. Object masking device comprises control unit (5) and associated camouflage plates (6) made with N-layer, separated dielectric spacers. Camouflaging plates (6) are placed on the surface of the flexible heat-insulating coating (4), the dimensions of which correspond to linear dimensions of the object. Along the perimeter of the flexible heat-insulating coating (4) there are attachment points to the external surface of the object. Additionally, there is a background temperature sensor (1), M temperature sensors (3) and M subtraction circuits (2), where M is the number of thermal zones on the surface of coating (4), each of which corresponds to the characteristic surface area of the object having the same temperature. Output of m-th temperature sensor (3) is connected to first input of corresponding subtracting circuit (2), and second inputs of subtraction circuits (2) are combined and connected to output of background temperature sensor (1), output of m-th subtraction circuit is connected to corresponding input of control unit (5), where .
EFFECT: enabling increase in the object temperature equalization probability to the actual background temperature due to expansion of the masking plates reproduced temperatures range, as well as the device application technological effectiveness.
