SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanization of labour-intensive processes in animal industry, in particular in the field of making and applying straw mat in a cattle-breeding premises. Method for delivering thatched straw in the form of a piece made from a straw roll comprises separating a portion of the unwound layer and loading it into a container. Container is made in the form of a volumetric structure comprising two vertical parallel bent tubular sides, the bent ends of which lie in one plane, wherein side pieces are interconnected by transverse struts. At that, preliminarily separated pieces of straw roll are delivered to the required point of cattle-breeding premises by means of electric cage displacing by means of guides.

EFFECT: invention ensures improvement of comfortable conditions of animals’ rest.
