CYLINDER-PISTON GROUP OF SHIP LOW-SPEED CROSSHEAD ENGINE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC F02F1/00 F02F7/00 B25B27/12

Abstract RU 2734591 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in repair of pistons, for example, when replacing piston rings of low-speed crosshead engines of high power. Cylinder-piston group of ship low-speed crosshead engine comprises cylinder bushing (1) with piston (2), in grooves of which there are piston rings (3), as well as partition (4) located below cylinder bushing (1). Partition (4) has through helical channel (6) with detachable covers (7) arranged at ends of helical channel (6). Diameter of coiling of helical channel (6) is comparable with diameter of piston ring (3), pitch is equal to distance, on which clearance of piston ring (3) lock along axis (h) is permissible. Cross section of helical channel (6) is not less than cross-section of piston ring (3).

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of risk associated with complete removal of piston from cylinder bushing, and simplified procedure for replacement of piston rings in ship conditions.
