SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and is intended for use in data transmission systems using frequency-adaptive operating mode or mode with pseudo-random tuning of operating frequency. In the method for active monitoring of operating frequencies with identification of the type of destructive actions, including, based on the conducted analysis of the communication channel quality, the permissible number of suitable operating frequencies is calculated, when the use of testing procedures still provides the required data transmission rate, if the total number of unusable frequencies exceeds the estimated allowable number, additionally, on each detected unusable operating frequency, transmitting a test signal, and on the receiving side, performing a structural analysis of features of its distortions at each operating frequency, on which it was transmitted, the results of the structural analysis are compared to the pre-prepared reference values, based on the results of comparison with which a decision is made on the form of destructive action and if necessary change parameters and operating modes of the data transmission system.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increase in data transmission speed in a noise-protected radio line with pseudo-random tuning of operating frequency by determining the type of destructive effect.
