FIELD: vessels and other watercrafts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding and relates to determination of characteristics of water transport facilities, in particular, ship torque in rough conditions. Disclosed is method of determining ship torque in rough conditions, including asymmetric arrangement of cargoes and/or ballast with known characteristics according to known scheme, vessel is tested on still water with registration of deformation characteristics by measuring device, based on which there determined is moment value in rough conditions, wherein weights and/or ballasts are arranged so as to obtain a given torque value, wherein in the hatch opening located in the midship area in the centreline plane, a measuring device in the form of a beam is installed, the main axes of the cross-section of which are axes of symmetry, wherein at the ends of the beam in its horizontal plane of symmetry in the longitudinal direction symmetrically relative to the centreline plane there are sensors for measuring deformations, besides, the beam is rigidly fixed at the ends so that its horizontal plane of symmetry coincides with the middle plane of the deck flooring, then tests are carried out in still water with registration of changes of deformation of beam from its bending in horizontal plane at each of specified values of torque, based on the obtained data, the calibration dependence of deformations on the value of torque for the measuring device used, and in disturbed conditions, the change in deformation of the beam from its bending in the horizontal plane in time is measured by a measuring device, and according to the obtained calibration curve, the corresponding change in the torque values is determined.
EFFECT: technical result is increased accuracy of determination of torque acting on ship hull.
