FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes alternative automotive fuel for internal combustion engines with spark ignition with octane number of not less than 90.0 units according to the research method, which includes ethyl alcohol and hydrocarbon fraction boiling up to 225 °C, wherein additionally contains 2-methylfuran, wherein ethyl alcohol and 2-methylfuran are a product of processing cellulose raw material, obtained in one production cycle and included in composition of alternative fuel at following ratio of components, wt%: ethyl alcohol and 2-methylfuran total 5.0–50.0, hydrocarbon fraction – up to 100.0.
EFFECT: obtaining alternative automotive fuel, which has octane number of not less than 90 units by research method, required phase stability during operation at negative ambient temperatures, additionally improved anticorrosive properties, which meets the main requirements to characteristics of motor gasoline in accordance with GOST 32513 and TR TS 013/2011, and also has similar to motor gasoline combustion heat.
