FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves formylating fusel oil with gaseous formaldehyde in the presence of aqueous calcium chloride solution, with subsequent dilution with an oxygen-containing hydrocarbon compound with the mass ratio 1:1 to 1:3, accordingly. As a rule, formaldehyde is added to the fusel oil in the ratio from 0.15 to 0.25 kg/kg, and the aqueous calcium chloride solution - in the quantity 0.4 to 0.6 kg/kg and the aqueous calcium chloride solution normally contains from 12 to 20 mass% of calcium chloride. Normally the formylating reaction is carried out under temperature from minus 10°C to plus 20°C for 6 to 10 hours. As a rule, the solvent used is in form of aliphatic hydrocarbons, which are petroleum fractions, witch boil in the temperature range from 30 to 180°C.
EFFECT: obtaining a hydrocarbon solution of high-octane oxygen containing compounds with complete processing of fusel oil in a simple and cheap way.
