FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for liquefaction of natural gas. Described are natural gas liquefaction systems and methods, having a pre-cooling system with a mixed refrigerant with several pressure levels, including cooling of compressed flow of mixed coolant and separation of cooled compressed flow of mixed coolant into steam and liquid fractions. Liquid fraction provides cold supply for the first heat exchanger of preliminary cooling. Steam fraction is additionally compressed, cooled and used to provide cold supply of the second pre-cooling heat exchanger. Optionally, additional pre-cooling heat exchangers and/or phase separators can be used.
EFFECT: increasing power and efficiency of natural gas liquefaction processes.
