SUBSTANCE: method comprises: detecting by a first terminal a downlink control channel transmitted by a network device, wherein the downlink control channel carries at least one discontinuous reception (DRX) information for at least one terminal, and DRX-information for each terminal from at least one terminal is used to indicate that each terminal changes into an active state or in standby mode for an On-Duration cycle of DRX; extracting DRX-information for a terminal from at least one DRX-information unit; and determining by terminal based on DRX-information for terminal, whether terminal will switch to active state or into standby mode for period of On-Duration. Therefore, different terminals can simultaneously detect whether they are scheduled in a DRX cycle and determine whether they should go into a standby mode for an On-Duration period if they are not scheduled, thereby reducing power consumption.
EFFECT: reduced electric energy consumption.
