SUBSTANCE: invention relates to software distribution, specifically to distribution of software in a rail vehicle communication network. For this purpose, in rail vehicle communication network (11), in which component (22, 24, 26, 28) is connected to communication network (11) access point (31, 33, 35, 37), assigning (CC stage) a network address of a first distribution server module (60) by a configuration server module (40) connected to communication network (11) for collecting, transmitting and processing data, and loading (step C4) the installation software from the first distribution server module (60) by means of component (22, 24, 26, 28) based on the network address.
EFFECT: technical result is simplification and high reliability of software distribution.
