FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extraction of steam cracking material. Invention relates to a method of removing light gases from a hydrocarbon feed stream comprising ethylene, ethane and heavier hydrocarbons, which includes absorption of carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide and carbonyl sulphide from the hydrocarbon feed stream by contact with a solvent to obtain a stream of absorbed hydrocarbon material; hydrogenation of acetylene in the stream of absorbed hydrocarbon material to ethane and ethylene to produce a stream of hydrogenated hydrocarbon material; removing a stream of heavier hydrocarbon material from light gases, which are hydrogen, carbon monoxide, nitrogen and methane, in a stream of hydrogenated hydrocarbon material; demethanisation of a stream of heavier hydrocarbon feedstock to obtain an upper product stream containing hydrogen, carbon monoxide, nitrogen and methane, and a stream of pure bottom product containing ethylene, ethane and heavier hydrocarbons.
EFFECT: technical result consists in removal of impurities from dry gas, to ensure safe and cost-effective extraction and use of ethylene and ethane.
