SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of concentrating and extracting a heavy fraction containing ethylene, ethane and heavier hydrocarbons from a stream of hydrocarbon material containing a light fraction and said heavy fraction, wherein said light fraction contains hydrogen, nitrogen and methane; said method includes following steps: a) passing hydrocarbon feed stream into adsorption zone, containing adsorbent, selective for light fraction adsorption, where the adsorption zone adsorbs at least a portion of the light fraction and forms an adsorption zone effluent stream containing a heavy fraction; b) compressing the adsorption zone effluent to obtain a compressed adsorption zone effluent stream; c) cooling the adsorption zone compressed outlet stream to obtain a cooled adsorption zone outlet stream; d) passing the cooled outlet stream of the adsorption zone to a demethanisation column operating at a temperature higher than -40 °C to obtain a head stream containing hydrogen, nitrogen, methane, ethylene and ethane, and resulting bottoms stream containing ethylene, ethane and heavier hydrocarbons; and e) recycling the head stream to the adsorption zone. Invention also discloses an apparatus which implements the method described above.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide installation and a method for extracting ethylene from exhaust gas of absorbent FCC in a safer and more efficient manner due to the absence of refrigerating chamber, turbine expander.
