FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of metals from corrosion, namely to chamber inhibitors of atmospheric corrosion. A chamber corrosion inhibitor containing a mixture of heptanoic or octanoic or nonanoic acids of a normal or isomeric structure with a nitrogen-containing base is developed, with the following ratio of components, wt%: heptane, or octanoic or nonanoic acid of normal or isomeric structure 20–80; nitrogen-containing base 20–80.
EFFECT: longer period of temporary protection of steel articles from atmospheric corrosion.
