FIELD: metals corrosion protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the protection of metals from corrosion, namely to volatile inhibitors of atmospheric corrosion of ferrous metals. The volatile corrosion inhibitor contains an amino alcohol, which is used as monoethanolamine, or diethanolamine, or triethanolamine, or dimethylaminoethanol, or diethylaminoethanol, and benzoic acid, while it additionally contains lauric acid, in the following ratio, wt.%: amino alcohol 55.0- 70.0; benzoic acid 22.0-25.0; lauric acid the rest up to 100.
EFFECT: inhibitor increases the period of temporary protection of steel products from atmospheric corrosion under conditions of periodic moisture condensation.
