SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport. Unit of torque transfer from axle of wheel pair to axis of rotor of axle box electric generator contains protective caps made from elastomer material for installation on heads of bolts of dish washer fastening, and coupling. Inner surface of the caps has a shape repeating the shape of the bolt heads, and a cut along one of the faces to round the locking parts of the locking washers. Torque is transmitted from bolt heads fitted on wheel pair axle end via resilient caps to coupling with slots on one side to be fitted between caps, and, on the other side, to support with electric generator rotor coupling element. Anvil makes it impossible to disengage mechanical gear in axial direction.

EFFECT: disclosed design simplifies the process of installing the box-type generator on the car, while ensuring the absence of mechanical damages of the axle box parts, as well as compensation of possible process radial, angular and axial displacement between axis of wheel pair and rotor axis of electric generator during installation and operation.
