Abstract RU 2094269 C1

FIELD: railway transport; rolling stock power supply systems. SUBSTANCE: undercar generator with drive has stator with three-phase winding and terminals in terminal box, rotor with squirrel cage winding or permanent magnets. Stator is connected to end face of wheelset axle box by means of intermediate flange. Flange has ring labyrinth groove and it limits axial displacement of upper race of roller bearing by its entry portion. Rotor is rigidly coupled with driven axle of wheelset. Laminated rotor core and stator are glued of electrical steel sheets. Rotor shaft is hollow with inner conical bore on end for coaxial fitting onto adapter unified bearing unit attachment nut. Nut has similar outer seat surface as that of rotor shaft and is turned onto neck of wheelset axle. Feather key is fitted between shaft hub and adapter nut. With passenger car moving, generator is self-excited by flow of rotor residual magnetization and induces electric current in stator winding. Cooling is providing by surface blowing in movement of train. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 dwg
