SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an pad for furniture articles, a method of making a patch, an embossing shaft for the manufacture of patch pieces. Pad for furniture pieces has a body with a lower side, which is attached to a piece of furniture, and with an upper side facing away from the lower side, wherein the upper side has at least one transitional section descending to the body edge. Transitional section descends stepwise to the edge of the body, has two stages, each of which has upper and peripheral side surfaces on the stage. Upper side surfaces are aligned independently of each other relative to lower side, so that least angles of upper side surfaces relative to lower side make an average of -45° up to 75°, in particular from -45° up to 45°. Edge side surfaces are inclined independently from each other relative to lower side, so that the least angles of edge side surfaces relative to lower side are on average from 20° to less than 90°, in particular from 46° to less than 90°, in particular to 80°.

EFFECT: technical result is improved performance of decoration application.
