FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spatial information processing and display. Method of performing aerial laser scanning is realized using ground-based laser scanning data and consists in preliminary processing of clouds of air and ground laser scanning points, which are clouds of points with different characteristics. Method is used for urban development, wherein preliminary classification is carried out to reduce a set of points for processing. Also, automatic cross-linking is realized, for which matching planes are used as preliminary alignment, and final alignment is carried out using an iterative algorithm of nearest points.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility of increasing the density and accuracy of the aerial point cloud and the possibility of accelerating the binding of the cloud of ground-based scanning points in the absolute coordinate system, particularly for vertical objects.
