FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing and display of spatial information and can be used in processing clouds of points consisting of a large number of points of standing, in particular when scanning large industrial and civil buildings and structures. For this purpose, using this method resampling is performed to reduce the number of points creating excessive density in the overlapping area, with subsequent separation into initial points clouds taking into account oversampling and preservation of data in polar coordinates.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the number of points creating excessive display density.
