FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: linear-chain electric motor comprises a control member, a power supply, a controller, a position sensor and a chain transmission in form of at least two spaced apart sprockets connected by a chain of serially alternating groups of links, in one of which links are made of ferromagnetic material, and in the other one - from non-magnetic material. Straight-line section of chain between sprockets is installed with a gap in plastic sleeve, around which inductance coils are arranged in series, input terminals of which are connected to output terminals of controller, which is made with possibility of serial supply of voltage to input terminals of inductance coils in required direction of chain motion or braking. Selection of mechanical power of rotation can take place at least on two shafts of driven sprockets.
EFFECT: expansion of arsenal of technical means used as electric motors, reduction of energy losses.
