FIELD: production of composite materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition of epoxy resin for a composite material, a prepreg containing a composition of epoxy resin, and to a composite material, which can be used for making various products, including making aircraft structure elements, windmill blades, vehicle outer plates, computer parts, such as IC trays and housings for laptops, as well as sporting goods such as a golf club handle and tennis rackets. Epoxy resin composition contains at least 5 to 25 pts. wt. component [A], which is epoxy resin, having two naphthalene groups in one molecule and two epoxy groups in a repeating unit; from 20 to 95 pts. wt component [B], which is epoxy resin of glycidylamine type, having three or more glycidyl groups per molecule; component [C], which is a sulphone or imide based thermoplastic resin in amount of 1 to 25 pts. wt. in relation to total amount of epoxy resins, which is equal to 100 pts. wt; component [D], which is an aromatic amine as a curing agent. Prepreg is obtained by impregnating carbon fiber with said epoxy resin composition. Composite material is obtained by hardening said prepreg.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a composite material with high plasticity and heat resistance, good mechanical properties, including tensile strength and compression strength.
