FIELD: production of composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition of epoxy resin and a prepreg intended for producing a composite material. Epoxy resin composition contains at least epoxy resin [A]; hardener [B], which is a aromatic amine compound and characterized by temperature of heat release beginning, according to measurement using differential scanning calorimetry higher than that of heat release for component [C]; compound [C] corresponding to said formula (a), in which X is selected from a group consisting of C=O, S=O and O=P-OH, each R1-R4 is a hydrogen atom; and thermoplastic resin [D]. Level of components content satisfies equations (1) and (2): (1) 0.5 ≤ (number of moles of active hydrogen atoms, contained in component [B] + number of moles of active hydrogen atoms, contained in component [C]) / number of moles of epoxy groups in component [A] ≤ 1.5; and (2) 0.02 ≤ moles of component [C] / number of moles of component [B] ≤ 5.0. Prepreg contains said epoxy resin composition and reinforcing fibers.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a composite material characterized by high heat resistance, high latency, excellent curing ability during curing for a short period of time, excellent stability of properties during storage.
