FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extraction of methane from underwater deposits of methane hydrate. Plant comprises an underwater well extending from the seabed to the methane hydrate formation, including a casing extending into the subsea well, control unit of underwater well having channel with well control valve. Channel is made with possibility of fluid communication with the well space confined by the inverted casing wall. Water separating column extends from surface equipment to well control assembly. Submersible pump is in fluid communication with methane hydrate formation. Methane and water separator has water outlet and outlet for methane. Submersible pump is located above underwater well so that to reduce height of column of water in water separating column with decomposition of methane hydrate.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of methane extraction due to reduction of time costs.
