FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Medical image processing device configured to extract an irradiation field from an image obtained during radiation imaging, comprising: an assumption unit configured to receive a candidate for an irradiation field on the image based on the assumption processing; a contour highlighting unit configured to select an irradiation field contour based on the contour selection processing performed on the candidate on the irradiation field; and a field selection unit configured to select an irradiation field based on said contour. Assumption unit receives as a candidate on the irradiation field a probability map which indicates for each pixel of the image the probability that it is an irradiation field, or the probability that it is not an irradiation field. Assumption unit performs processing of the assumption based on training, which is carried out using a data set, which includes said image as an input signal and said irradiation field as an output signal. At that, the assumption unit performs the assumption processing based on the training result, which includes neural network training. Data medium storing a program which drives the computer to perform each step in a method of processing medical images.
EFFECT: use of this group of inventions improves the determination of the radiation field.
