FIELD: image processing.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device and a method for determining the boundaries of a pathology on a medical image. Disclosed is a device for implementing the method, which comprises a unit for receiving data to be processed containing a medical image; a unit for preparing an image contained in the data to be processed for use by the neural network by performing one or more preliminary transformations thereon; a unit for predicting the presence or absence of a pathology on the image using said neural network; unit for generating a study report, configured, if it is determined that there is a pathology on the image, to form an image with visualization of the pathology in the form of a copy of the original image, on which outlines of boundaries of detected areas with signs of pathologies are superimposed; and a unit for transmitting the report to the device requesting data processing.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides higher accuracy of automatic positioning of pathology and possibility of medical decision making with increased speed and accuracy.
