FIELD: imaging technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of image processing and, more specifically, to a device and method for determining pathology based on the analysis of X-ray images. A device is proposed that contains: a block for data to be processed containing an X-ray image of the chest organs; a block for preparing an image contained in the data to be processed for use by a neural network by performing one or more preliminary transformations on it; a pathology prediction block for determining the presence or absence of pathology in an image using the aforementioned neural network; a block for generating a report on a study conducted in this device; and a block for transmitting a report to the device requesting data processing.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the accuracy of automatic determination of the probability of pathology, as well as the possibility of making a medical decision with increased speed and accuracy.
