SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydromechanical transmissions. Hydromechanical gear comprises hydraulic transformer, two-speed gearbox and control system. Hydraulic transformer contains a pump wheel connected to the input shaft, a turbine wheel and a reactor. Gearbox comprises a planetary mechanism with a drive link connected to the turbine wheel of the hydraulic converter, a driven member coupled to the output shaft of the gear, fixed link made in the form of a carrier with satellites installed on it. Planetary mechanism is made with positive gear ratio U at fixed link of the planetary mechanism, which is connected to the hydraulic transformer reactor. Gear ratio U of the planetary gear and the transformation ratio K of the torque converter are interconnected by the ratio
