FIELD: transport machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive torque converters. In hydromechanical transmission containing control elements installed in fixed housing and multistage hydraulic converter comprising centrifugal impeller connected to drive shaft, first-stage turbine wheel of centrifugal type, turbine wheel of second stage of axial type, turbine wheel of third stage and reactors, all turbine wheels are connected to driven shaft by means of individual controlled clutch couplings. Number of reactors is equal to that of turbine wheels. Reactors are equipped with individual switching devices connecting a certain active reactor with fixed housing and connected simultaneously with appropriate clutch coupling of certain turbine wheel.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of hydromechanical transmission of vehicle in the whole range of transformation of drive engine torque.
