SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wheelchair wheelchair design. Wheelchair comprises seat with base mounted on rotary support with base position retainer. Rotary support is made of hingedly interconnected levers forming four-hinged anti-parallelogram, in one of movable hinges of which there is a base position fixing device, made on a bracket in the form of a spring-loaded rod with a flat recess forming a gap between the comb on the arc-shaped beam covered by the bracket on the side of the seat-seat when the seat turns to the angle required by the circumstances.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of ease of operation and safety precautions for wheelchair in overcoming stair flights of common use of wheelchair.
