SUBSTANCE: in wheelchair including a supporting frame, on which are mounted a chair, batteries, side drive wheels, pairs of side belt pulleys covered by a belt, a mechanism for orienting and fixing the chair in relation to the supporting frame, the drive wheel is made without a hub in the form of a rim with a pneumatic tire, the side parts of the supporting frame, interconnected by the mechanism of orientation and fixation of the chair, are made in the form of two triangular frames adjacent to the pneumatic tire, connected by three pairs of shafts, on the inner ones of which roller bearings for the rim are mounted, and on the outer ones of which friction rollers in the form of single-sheeted hyperboloids for the pneumatic tire are mounted, toothed belt pulleys covered by a belt with double moulded teeth are additionally mounted on the lower outer shafts at least on one side of the pneumatic tire, the chair orientation mechanism is made according to the scheme of a four-hinged anti-parallellogram supporting the chair with its upper part.

EFFECT: simplifying the design and reducing the cost of a wheelchair allowing to overpass stair flights of common use.
