FIELD: oil refining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysts for hydrodemetallization. Invention relates to a hydrodemetallization catalyst composition on a carrier which contains macromolecular aluminum oxide and an acidic component which contains active metals. Catalyst contains active metals in form of citrates and oxides of nickel, cobalt and molybdenum in amount in terms of oxides in calcined catalyst, wt %: 5–9.0 % MoO3, 0.5–1.1 % CoO, 0.5–1.1 % NiO, and as an acid component contains up to 2 wt % spent regenerated catalytic cracking catalyst. Invention also relates to a method of preparing said catalyst.
EFFECT: technical result is removal of nickel and vanadium from oil fractions with depth of up to 99_4 % and low cost of catalyst.
