SUBSTANCE: method for preliminary heating of fluid medium (40) upstream of the furnace by means of heat exchange with flue gases (10) discharged from the furnace through channel (11) consists in the fact that liquid or gaseous medium (31) passes through chamber (20) with a first flow rate; flue gases (10) in channel (11) heat medium (31) in chamber (20) by means of heat exchange through first wall (21), separating medium (31) in chamber (20) from flue gases (10) in channel (11), wherein heated medium (32) is obtained; fluid medium (40) passes through at least one pipeline (41) with a second flow rate, wherein at least one pipeline (41) has a second wall separating fluid (40) inside at least one pipeline (41) from medium (31) inside chamber (20); medium (31) heated in chamber (20), preheats fluid (40) in at least one pipeline (41) by means of heat exchange through a second wall, wherein preheated fluid (42) is obtained; preheated fluid (42) is delivered into furnace. First flow rate is controlled as a function of at least one of the following temperatures: temperature Tfum of flue gases (10) in channel (11), temperature Tmil of heated medium (32), temperature Tf of preheated fluid medium (42) and temperature Tpp of first wall (21).

EFFECT: invention allows preliminary heating of several fluid media by means of heat exchange with flue gases withdrawn from the furnace, and increasing operational reliability.
