FIELD: astronautics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the space equipment. Active phased antenna array (APAA) is a set of segments (modules) placed in openings of the APAA structural part, made in the form of a rectangular frame with transverse power elements. Each APAA module has a microstrip antenna band, a set of receiving-transmitting modules, power and control units, a APAA for generating, receiving and digitizing a radar signal. All electronic units of the APAA module are placed on a heat honeycomb panel which functions as a bearing structure of the APAA module. Structural design of APAA modules makes it possible to use antenna tape APAA during sessions of radar survey of Earth and in intervals between them as radiation heat exchanger.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is independence of the APAA functioning process from interaction with the spacecraft (SC) thermal control system, that is increase of the APAA autonomous system independence from the spacecraft systems.
