FIELD: pulp industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cationic glyoxylated polyacrylamide polymer composition for use in the production of paper and cardboard. Water composition contains a glyoxylated polyacrylamide polymer, characterized by density of cationic charge equal to 0.8–1.8 meq/g of dry polymer, in amount per dry substance 5–15 wt %, aqueous medium and buffer acid. Buffer acid contains formic acid or citric acid or any salt thereof, such as sodium formate or sodium citrate. Aqueous composition is characterized by a pH value of 2.2–4.0.

EFFECT: higher storage stability.
