FIELD: pulp industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions used in the paper making process to increase paper strength. Composition comprises an anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) and a high charge cationic glyoxylated polyacrylamide (GPAM). High-charged cationic glyoxylated polyacrylamide has a cationic charge density of 0.6 meq/g or more. Method for increasing paper strength during the manufacture of paper includes adding said composition to the pulp weight.
EFFECT: increase in the degree of retention in paper manufacture and strength properties of the paper is provided.
