FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to vertical take-off and landing aircraft design. Vertical take-off and landing aircraft (VTOL) comprises fuselage, keel, pair of wings, cruise power plant, two lifting power plants with air screws arranged on fuselages with two axes of rotation arranged on sides and with possibility of pylons fixation. Axes of rotation of pylons of lifting power plants are inclined along a yaw angle and are made with possibility of lifting power plants laying in a fuselage niche. Axes of rotation of lifting power plants are inclined relative to pylons with possibility of rotation of lifting power plants in take-off-landing flight mode by pitch angle. Axes of rotation of lifting power plants in take-off-landing mode of flight in projection on plane of symmetry of VTOL are located in area or above centre of gravity VTOL. Lifting power plants when folding into fuselage rotate relative to their pylons so that plane of rotation of blades of lifting power plant becomes approximately parallel to theoretical contour of fuselage in area of fuselage niche.
EFFECT: reduced aerodynamic resistance, weight, longer range, longer VTOL flight.
