FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry, in particular to production of adhesive substances used in production of footwear for gluing of any combinations of leather and leatherette, cardboard, polymers, fabrics with application of automated glue application machines. Described is a method of producing an adhesive melt used for making shoes, comprising obtaining a polyester having repeating units of formula: —O(CH2)nO—OC—R—CO—, where R is 1,4-phenylene radical and n ranges from 2 to 4, R is 1,4-phenylene in 60–95 % of repeating units, characterized in that to obtain a polyester, a dimethyl terephthalate reaction with 1,4-butanediol and 2,2-dimethylpropanediol is used, molar ratio of said diatoms is taken in the following ranges: 1,4-butanediol from 82 to 98.5 % and 2,2-dimethylpropanediol from 1.5 to 18 %. Also described is an adhesive composition.
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics, particularly reduced brittleness and improved adhesion to unprepared leather.
