FIELD: heating equipment.

SUBSTANCE: thermal energy storage system is suitable for use with systems, configured to transfer heat from at least one heat source to at least one heat consumer (forming a heat transfer system). Heat energy accumulation unit (6) comprises heat accumulator containing heat exchanger with at least one coil, surrounded by suitable material with phase transition, capacitor (2); one or more evaporators (4). Heat energy accumulation unit (6) is located between condenser (2) and expansion valve (3). Switching valve (7), which can be used to bypass capacitor (2), during the defrosting stage allows to select energy only from heat energy accumulation unit (6). Heat energy accumulation unit (6) includes means of connection to each other and/or to one or more components of heat transfer system.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of defrosting system.
