FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to radiation monitoring of objects using atomic energy, specifically for radiometric and spectrometric measurements of near-surface radioactivity in deep water areas. Method for obtaining data of near-surface radioactivity in deep water areas is characterized by the direction and immersion of immersion means with a built-in on board its means of detecting radioactive radiation in a given sector of the water area, detecting a radioactive object, transmitting and analysing output signals of the detector, wherein from the obtained data determining the areas of peaks of complete absorption of gamma-radiation of different nuclides, calculating weight factors, characterizing the contribution of each of them to the total activity of radionuclides, and partial activity of radionuclides of interest, which contaminate the underlying surface.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of determining isotopic composition of sources of radioactive contamination bottom surface of deep and hard-to-water areas.
