FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: use: for automated non-invasive sex determination of embryo in bird egg. Essence of the invention consists in the following stages: consecutive or parallel feeding of a set of bird eggs into the NMR apparatus, subjecting bird eggs to NMR measurement to thereby determine for each of said eggs one or more eggs-related NMR parameters selected from the group consisting of relaxation time T1, relaxation time T2 and diffusion coefficient, transmitting said one or more NMR parameters or parameters detected therefrom to a classification module, wherein said classification module is configured to determine an embryo sex prediction in the corresponding egg taking into account said one or more NMR parameters or parameters detected therefrom, and feeding said plurality of poultry eggs from said NMR apparatus and sorting eggs according to floor prediction issued by said classification module.
EFFECT: enabling quick and reliable sex determination of the embryo at an early stage, on which the embryo has not yet experienced pain.
