FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: method for control over roll channel in rocket engine of solid fuel consists in supply of solid fuel combustion products to control unit of rotary type, overlapping by command of control system of one of nozzles, and in case of incomplete loading of roll engine on creation of control force - reduction of gas flow from charge of solid fuel by increasing area of flow passages of nozzles. Solid fuel rocket engine for control over roll channel comprises combustion chamber with solid fuel charge and rotary control unit. Control unit in its turn is designed so that its rotor adjustment edges in initial position are conjugated with nozzle seats edges, that provides increase in flow sections in 2 times in comparison with position of rotor corresponding to mode of creation of limiting control force.

EFFECT: such design of the control unit allows to significantly reduce pressure and flow rate in case of incomplete loading of the roll engine to create a control force, reduce non-productive fuel consumption and reduce engine weight.
