SUBSTANCE: present invention discloses a linen care device (100) comprising indicator element (113) for displaying light symbols (131) and control device (115) for controlling indicator element (113). Indicator element (113) comprises liquid crystal display device (119) with several individually activated light surfaces (121). Indicator element (113) comprises light-retaining coating (123) with several light-retaining coating sections (125), wherein each light-trapping portion (125) of the coating is located on the individually activated light surface (121). At least one of light-trapping sections (125) of the coating comprises at least one translucent slit (127), wherein light-permeable slit (127) has at least one symbol form (129). Control device (115) is configured to activate at least one of individually activated light surfaces (121) for display on indicator element (113) of light symbol (131) corresponding to symbol form (129).
EFFECT: disclosed is a a linen care device with an indicator element.
