FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thread-cutting machine. Pipe-cutting machine comprises rotating knives in a pair, located in plane at right angle to pipe axial line, subject to cutting, specified as x-y plane, and pipe center specified as origin of coordinates. Rotating knives are located facing each other on both sides of axis y so that cutting edges of rotating knives are superimposed on each other in direction of axis x. Machine comprises a drive in rectilinear motion, which rotates the rotating blades in a pair in rectilinear movement in opposite directions relative to the direction of the axis y so, to make the rotating blades in the pair pass by each other on the x axis and near the x axis. Besides, it comprises direction conversion drive and direction conversion drive, which change part of rectilinear driving force in direction of axis y to force in direction of axis x and move rotating blades in pair to outside for distance from axis y to exclude interaction between cutting edges, when rotating blades in a pair pass by each other on axis x and near axis x.
EFFECT: result is effective cutting of pipe, increased durability with the help of simple, compact and light-weight configuration.
