FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of analyzing devices for leak-tightness and can be used for testing of multilayer articles, which inner cavity is not closed. Overpressure of gas in item (2) is created by immersing it with free hole (7) into liquid so that its axis is perpendicular to liquid surface. Space (9) above the liquid is evacuated so that the level of the liquid column inside cavity (13) is constant and coincides with the plane of free hole (7). Presence of leaks along the outer wall is judged by the gas bubbles on the surface of wall (10), and along inner wall (11) by gas leakage from the free opening of the article. If there are leaks on internal wall (11), liquid is poured into article cavity (13) communicating with atmosphere and limited by inner wall (11). During pouring, volumes of filled fluid are determined, which correspond to stepped reduction or complete cessation of gas leaks from free hole (7) of the product. Location of leaks on the inner wall is determined from the obtained values of the liquid volumes and geometrical dimensions of inner cavity (13) of the article.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities.
