FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and represents a method for automated measurement of resistances using a four-pin device. Essence: through the multiplexer four checked points of the monitoring object are connected to outputs "+" and "-" of current calibrator with built-in voltmeter or to current calibrator and voltmeter. Using multiplexer switches, eight commutations are made between contacts 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 1 and 3, 2 and 4 with forward and reverse current. At that, current is adjusted so that its value by module is equal in all commutations. Further, the arithmetic mean value of the voltage drop on the desired resistive resistance is calculated based on eight taken on modulus of the intermediate voltage drop values U1, U1rev, U2, U2rev, U3, U3rev, U4, U4rev Uch = [(U4 + U3 - U2 - U1) + (U4rev + U3rev - U2rev - U1rev)]/4.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility to monitor integrity of all formed electric circuits and exclude from results of voltage drop at transient and contact resistances, on resistances of communication lines and on multiplexer switches.
