FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and enables to monitor integrity of electrical circuits. According to the invention, the method for automated measurement of resistances using a four-terminal device consists in that the contacts are placed in series at random distance from each other, using switches of two-wire multiplexer, eight commutations are made between contacts 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 1 and 3, 2 and 4 at forward and reverse current, and measuring eight intermediate values of resistance R1, R1rv, R2, R2rv, R3, R3rv, R4, R4rv respectively and calculating resistance value by formula Rmeas=[(R4+R3-R2-R1)+(R4rv+R3rv-R2rv-R1rv)]/4.
EFFECT: invention provides high accuracy and high reliability of determining resistance values by eliminating transient and contact resistance values in formed electric circuits from measurement results.
